Frontgesang - Blitzkrieg

10 Tracks

Released by Heimdall-Versand! We present the ultimate remedy for the summer lull. The bone saw is oiled, hand grenades are flying from the trenches, and the *Blitzkrieg* begins! This concept album delivers a powerful—and at times deeply emotional—cross-section of the combat operations spanning 1939 to 1945. Vocalists from Eisernes Gebet, Regiment 25, and Heureka have teamed up with the previously unknown yet highly promising vocalists from Doitsche Toifel and Landwehr Kommandeure for this project. This vocal battle kicks off in 1939 with "Septembersonne," leads into the *Blitzkrieg* with "Schneller als der Rest," and transitions into 1940 with "Tour de Stahl." "Nordland" celebrates the heroic struggle in the North, followed by a journey from "Unter mir Kreta" to the "Gustav Linie" and on to the "Klippen der Normandie." The final third of the CD captures the war years of '44 and '45 with tracks like "Im Winter" and "Königsberg brennt." The album concludes with the spine-tingling "Berlin im April." All in all, you get a *Blitzkrieg* of immense vocal and sonic power—uncompromising and stripped of all frills. The cover art—fittingly military in style—provides the finishing touch to the entire work. Let yourself be taken on a journey through time to the years 1939–1945. "Frontgesang – Blitzkrieg": a truly outstanding album! Eternal be the glory of the fallen heroes' deeds!
